I was browsing some of my blogging hangouts this morning and found what can only be described as one of the funniest summaries of the economic climate I have seen so far.

The quote comes direct from I am Livid, a fantastic British blog by the disturbingly anomynous, and scarily hairy, Mr Angry.

I have fond memories of the recent men’s 100 metres final in Beijing. Usain Bolt put in a performance that quite literally, made track and field history.

Then I look at the state of the country today, with rising inflation, falling house prices, banks on the verge of collapse, recession looming large on the horizon, and a feeling among many that things are about to take a significant turn for the worse.

Then I look back to just over three years ago to the Live 8 concerts, and I wonder if the Government completely misunderstood the stated aim of Making Poverty History. Because right now, it looks like they could be about to do just that.

I find it kind of funny how the press has started chasing Laura Bush (The First Lady) over a car crash she was involved in when she was 17.  In this car crash the driver of the other vehicle, her own boyfriend at the time, died.

Now what gets me is that the press are calling Laura Bush a murderer while completely ignoring the fact that her husband has instigated the deaths of tens of thousands of people.

Personally I am a bit disguisted with how the press her branding her a murderess  simply because she was in a car accident during her youth.

The press meanwhile are chasing the police department for a release of the full report and George W Bush has apparently been heard saying he will use all his influence to keep the report private.

And do you know what, I actually agree with him, why would you let your own wife be subject to a media hounding for such a traumatic event as accidentally killing your own boyfriend?

A past pain like that should not be brought back publicly to be used as mere harassment, wether it be a nobody or wife of the president.

You wouldn’t keep reminding a cancer patient of their disease, you wouldn’t keep talking to a tarindriver about suicide after someone jumped infront of his train.

Somethings should be left to be forgotten.

Gypsies, Gypos, Travellers, Pikeys, the list goes on for the names of those that travel from place to place in caravans the UK over.

Recently these theiving bastards minority citizens have been recognised legally as just that, a minority. So no longer can you call them thieving fuckers, thats obviously racist because you are referring to the entire race.

So us Brits now have to ignore the fact that following these travellers you will find a trail of destruction, graffiti theft, muggings and rape. Instead we have to look at our statistics and pretend the fact is not their.

We can no longer drive these people out of town like used to be done not so long ago, instead we have to provide them with space and use local tax payer money to clean up and repair the damage.

So my question is, have we, asBritons, eally become too soft?

We now have to accept every one and everything?

Now of course this is where things get interesting, and infact part of the argument used by travelling folk.

It is an undeniable fact that crime follows suite as to the concentration of black people coloured minority citizens.

Therefore if we force gypsies out should we not force black people out too?

Of course there are some differences, black people on the whole are law abiding and more importantly pay taxes, hold down jobs and contribute, unlike travellers who get away with paying little to no tax, especially to the local councils they send into debt.

While crime in predominantly black areas is higher there are just as many people of the same colour trying to combat the crime and live honest lives, and in their case I dont think the majority should be brought down by the minority.

Gypsies on the other and take what they want, do not look after teh land they inhabit and while well known for their ability to work through legal loopholes have been allowed free reign by our government by allowing them minority status.

This country is being slowly run into the ground by namby pamby poncey fucking bureaucrats, the same people who brought gypsies into minority status are also partly responsible for the latest list of unacceptable words, including

Seminal and Disseminate - Related to Semen, too Masculine

Immigrant - calling someone this is now classed as racism

Able bodied should now be non-disabled as it makes them seem ‘less’

Civilisation and Developed Nations is now disallowed as it makes us seem ‘better than’

and Chinese Whisper is obviously racist.

‘Coloured’ is obviously condescending to black people, so we now refer to them as ‘people of colour’ This is obviously a big change and the British Sociological Association is obviously not being even more condescending and blatantly racist by thinking black people will not notice how blatantly racist and condescending this change infact is.

To avoid bigotry against disabled people you can’t call a single disabled person disabled, you may only refer to them in the third person, for example epileptic becomes a person with epilepsy.

To further the slightly Orwellian constraints all the following have been reduced to the same wording

Victim of

Person who has / person with

Crippled by

Person who has / person with

Suffering from

Person who has / person with

Afflicted by

Person who has / person with

So was someone who contracted AIDs during consensual sex afflicted by or victim of?

We will never find out now.

Oh and someone who is mentally ill is no longer mentally ill, they are a mental health service user.

If yo call them mentally ill prepare to be sued, of course this opens up the debate can anyone use the mental health service since you are not allowed to call a specific person mentally disabled, I may go over and get shot full of relaxants right now to be honest.

Sarah Palin, McCains proposed Vice President, today announced she was going to meet several world leaders and, wait for it, Bono.

Hang on a minute darling, Bono, one of the world most jumped up self righteous little pricks, should not be given any more attention.  Why in gods name would you lump him in with influential world leaders?

The Irish cock has tried to push imbecilic ideas, fantasy born ideals and environmentalist  crap down our throats for a decade, why oh why would you give him a possible presidential accolade.

And you were doing so well Palin, why did you have to screw it up now by comparing world leaders to an Irish Singer who quite likes the green party?

For a lot of people the recession brings tidings of woe, house values are dropping like stones, business are going broke and people are suffering from bankruptcies. There is however a silver lining to the recession.

It has been more than acknowledged in passing that house prices in the UK are insanely high. Not even 60 years ago a house could be bought for 3 times annual earnings, hence why mortgages have usually been given at 3 times annual earnings. Today however people earning around £20,000 ($40,000) a year are expected to spends between £200,000 ($400,000) and £500,000 ($1,000,0000) on a home in Britain. How can people afford this?

Well quite simply they can’t, interest rates will keep increasing what is owed to such an extent that nearly a fifth of new mortgage buyers are expected to never pay off the loan themselves, instead leaving the remainder as something for the kids.

For this reason the incoming recession is a good thing, house prices should be brought back into the realm of the reasonable and affordable. Houses that once cost £15,000 shouldnt, half a century later, cost £150,000.

As recession bites strings will need to be tightened, but a lot of things that have grown in price will fall, while the basics become more expensive. It does however need to happen, for too long Britain has stood in the shadow of a false economy, a problem which has haunted it in a million different ways.

Despite multiple cash injections around the globe the stock markets finally slumped as the major banking institution Lehmen filed for bankruptcy. While the global economy crisis itself is not unexpected it seems amazing to me that those in charge remain so blind as to the effect it has on the world.

Hell American Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said today that;

“Americans could remain confident in the “soundness and resilience” of the US financial system.”

Now excuse me for just a second her, saying the American Economy is resiliant is like saying the George Bush is going to be President again, completely unrealistic.  Seriously the US economy has been floating on thin air for a long time, and it has been long overdue for a crash.

The first step to fixing problems is admitting tehm, and this seems to be something that neither the American or English Governments are willing to do yet.

I can’t help but wonder to myself how Alistair Darling came into power in England, We are talking about a man who seems to have no sense of the fact that the economy rises and falls, that inflation goes up and down

Infact Mr Darling and Gordon Brown, in true US style have spent so long shooting down the small temporary inflations and minor economic downturns, all while spending the money the Conservatives saved to keep the country afloat, that they have built up to a massive tidal wave that could quite possible be the next economic depression.

I am having trouble coming to terms with the fact that Mr Darling can refuse to talk with public sector union officials after giving them a below inflation pay rise, chiding the workers of the UK for wanting enough money to live on, when one of the major reasons for the recession is labours insane levels of taxation, which rather than fostering businesses and prosperity to bring in revenue have instead focused on taxing more for more money.  If there is any lesson learnt throughout history it’s that the damage this causes to small businesses and the vulnerable is catastrophic.

Already bankruptcies in the UK are at an all time high, this is not down to consumer spending going down, its to do with increased fuel prices, increased business tax rates and a multitude of red tape laws strangling small business.

Mean while our Gordon Brown is busy licking the old American mud rim, while George Bush is sat their wondering if Tony Blair has been at the pies a bit too much recently and had a mild heart attack.

I really wish we had a party in power that wasn’t full of privately schooled, out of touch wankers who have been trained as Politicians and seem to live in a world that is mostly constructed within their own mind.

Sarah Palin is McCain’s latest stunt attempting to pull back against some of Obamas lead in the run up t the presidential elections, but is Palin really the right person for the Job of Vice President?

On the outside she seems like your standard American Politician.  She shouts loud, has a quick wit when it comes to rebuttal and constantly stands by Americas  ‘Key’ values.

Americas key values by the way being family values, gun ownership and a sense of humour Adam Sandler would be proud of.

It is actually Palins personal life that intrigues me the most, she has a child with Downs syndrome, a 17 year old unmarried daughter with a child, although the boyfriend is staying by her (Does the word meal ticket come to anyone else mind here?) and she also has 3 other children.

Now of course the most obvious thing that comes to mind here is that should a woman who has raised a child with such lack of indiscipline as her daughter (Bristol) really be put in charge of fostering a country?

It is an argument put forward by Obama’s team on several occasions since the news came to light.

To which in Palin’s shoes I would point out the complete lack of similarities to a child and the United States.

It does however make you think, should a woman who lost control of one child be put in charge of not only the people of America but also its economy and well being?

On a personal note I would like to point out that her experience heavily outweighs that of Obama, and her strength as a parent will undoubtedly of given her many insights into life.  But on the same vein we have McCain who is so far past his prime he would be, if he was say chicken breast, be even thrown out by the local all night Cantonese take away.  Palin is, and I put this bluntly without any illusion of sexism, a woman, a fertile woman.  Should someone who could be put out of action in this way really be called in to be the emergency replacement for a president who will undoubtedly be out of action on several occasions over the term of his presidency if elected?

I still think Obama is the best of a poor pack for Americas future.  Picking someone with a bit of business savvy rather than another military minded public speaker would probably help stave off an incoming recession at least for  another year or two.

I would also like to apologise for not writing that much recently,  I was on holiday for over two weeks, suffered a mugging and then suffered an even more painful argument with an insurance company before trying to catch up with my work on a large number of websites!
