I was pleased to see that the Government has decided to officially tackle the obesity problem. Yes that’s right, all you fat bastards out there, you are now officially a problem.

This new campaign has been brought together after an obviously shammed together report claimed that in 2050 90% of people will be overweight.  Judging by this I have looked at decent trends and deduced from the governments recent interest rate cuts that in 2050 interest rates will be at minus 30%.  Good news for mortgage holders but sorry savers, your lucks not in.I am not sure exactly how the government is deducing it’s priorities, I mean lets face it, they are pretty much removing all aspects of fitness from our every day lives, take for instance the following :-Rising taxes on pub beers forcing people to shop for booze at the supermarket - This not keeps people at home rather than visiting the pub! (On a serious note I know 3 pub football teams that have collapsed due to the insane rises in alcohol tax), forcing people to stay at home is not only damaging pubs but removing a lot of social activities, many of which ARE fitness related.Increased benefits for single parents - Gone are the days when b***rdry was a crime.  Today we promote single parentage and following that the number of children eating at Macdonalds everyday on non working single parent support has risen drastically.  (On a serious note here a huge percentage of obesity comes from government supported families, this is not coincidence)Compare this to times past when single mothers were flogged and sent to the work house while their children had to walk to London and survive on stolen vegetables while performing spontaneous song and dance routines with surprisingly athletic stall holders.  You can suddenly see why obesity has risen drastically from 200 years agoClosing Sport and Health Facilities - I am not so sure about other areas but due to lack of funding my local city has wait for it NO inner city sports facilities.  This means no cheap government subsidised gym, no swimming pool, nothing infact other than quite a lot of paths which can be run along with only minor damage caused to your knees.Anti Bullying Legislation - Yes I know it may seem cruel and no one likes to see a child picked on.  But lets face it, nothing will get a kid on the sport track faster than 50 of his peers calling him fatty and throwing pies at him.  I think a lot of problems that are around today come from too many rights organisations and do-gooders making life too cushy, these same people have caused countless c*ck ups with their mis-management and shot sightedness. All in all I am not surprised obesity is increasing.Infact the only light at the end of the tunnel I can see most surprisingly came from Gordon brown (although in some ways it isn’t that surprising, the money grabbing retard doesn’t see the benefits the scheme will have on the country he merely sees a quick buck).  Yes that’s right, in the near future it will be much harder to claim benefits unless you are actively looking for work!British Economy

For those people searching for the ‘right’ ISP to supply their Broadband Internet many will find the majority of ISPs offering Unlimited internet packages.   However many families are finding tehir internet access restricted, removed and even in some cases extra charges appearing on their internet bill.

This is all down to the ‘fair usage policy’. A fair usage policy is basically a small line in your contract that says while your internet is Unlimited you cannot use more than xxGB per month.

Suddenly things don’t seem quite so unlimited anymore.

The ISPs back this move saying it keeps things fair for all of their customers.  Some users abusing the system can slow down the network for everyone.

Now here I think is a very important point.  If I bought an unlimited usage product I should expect unlimited usage. The company should have the network to deal with this if it decides to advertise such a product.

If I hired a Builder to paint a mansion I would be very friggin upset if the builder only did half of it and then said He couldn’t paint anymore because then there might not be enough paint for the other houses.

If I went to an all you can eat resteraunt but was told I could only have half a plate of food so there was enough for everyone I would also be pretty damn annoyed.

So why the hell should internet service providers get away with unethically and misleadingly advertising products as unlmiited when they sometiems have usage limits as low as 5 gig.

Fortunately there is help available, there have been several casse where people have won full refunds and even damages for loss of connectivity because the Fair Use Policy was not well displayed and that the advertisements were misleading.

Lets take down the corporate bastards who decided to call limited unlimited!

The psychic community today delivered a 5000 strong petition against new laws which are asking for the peddlers in the supernatural to prove their abilities or reveal the fact that they are for entertainment only. The psychics who delivered the petition to enforce that their belief in their own powers should not be questioned was not deterred by the fact that they delivered the petition on a day when the Prime Minister Gordon Brown was not in the Country, and they blatantly ignored the headlining jubes about their failure to see the new law coming.

Personally I think this is a good and a bad thing. First off these guys are all con merchants in my opinion, but in the same vein if we make things too easy then natural selection will fall down and all the really stupid people will have just that little bit of an extra chance to reproduce.

There is another downside though, the good old placebo. Yes, While these idiotics, fanatics, and conmen pull away these peoples hard earned savings they do occasionally manage to pull off something that is a real miracle. Occasionally the homeopathic, religious healing, magnetic, ESP related treatments despite all practical tests do manage to work.

Now Personally I put this down to more of a power of the body kind of thing, but should a treatment that releases the power of ones own body really be so easily discounted from our system?

The UK government has decided to change the way games are classified in the UK, htey give many reasons for this, the main one being that parents are confused by the current ratings system.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7314751.stm

The current video games rating system in the UK is based on an age, with a plus sign beside it, meaning it is recommended for that age and above.  Sureley anyone who doesn’t understand that is on a par with the American trailer trash or the UK Jade Goody (You Yanks Don’t know how lucky you were to avoid her).  However due to parental ineptitude by a minority the decision on suitability has been taken from the hands of the obviously irresponsible parents and will now be controlled by the government.

Fairly soon it will be illegal to sell or supply games to underage children,m the government have confirmed.  Britain truely is becoming a nanny state when basic entertainment is restricted by law.
